You'll prepare high-quality meals for guests and crew aboard an expedition vessel, focusing on crew meals, buffet setups, and action stations. You'll assist the Head and Sous Chef in a fast-paced galley environment, ensuring nourishing and balanced food execution. This role offers the chance to work in remote, pristine locations with a pioneering expedition travel company.
๐ฏ What You'll Do
- Prepare and cook guest and crew meals following recipes and menu matrix
- Work the action station during meal periods (omelets, carving, sautรฉ)
- Assist in setting up and breaking down the hot line
- Help maintain galley cleanliness and adhere to sanitation standards
๐ Requirements
- Minimum 3 years culinary experience on board passenger ships
- Ability to work on feet for 10-12 hours daily in high-temperature galley
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification required
โจ Nice to Have
- Completion of formal training at a culinary school
- Experience with passenger vessels
- Supervisory skills to train and develop junior staff
