You'll join Canonical's engineering teams to work on open source software, from the Linux kernel to cloud applications. You'll contribute to products like Ubuntu, used widely in enterprise AI, cloud, and IoT. This role offers global remote work and twice-yearly team sprints in exciting locations.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Write high-quality, resilient, and performant code
• Engage with users and open source community via code reviews and issue trackers
• Develop skills in programming languages and Linux system knowledge
• Focus on design and user experience for developer tooling and command line apps

📋 Requirements

• Exceptional academic track record from high school and university
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, STEM, or related field with programming courses
• Ability to deliver code in Python, Rust, C/C++, Golang, JavaScript, or Java
• Experience with Ubuntu or another Linux distribution

✨ Nice to Have

• Upstream open source contributions
• Packaging and Linux distribution contributions (Debian, Fedora, Arch, Nix)
• Leadership and organization skills
