You'll set the technical direction for the Embedded Instacart platform, working across backend systems like identity, cart, and checkout. You'll partner with external engineering teams at companies like Airbnb and Grubhub to build reusable integration patterns. Highly visible cross-org role with direct partner-engineering exposure.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead architecture for the Partnerships platform
• Platformize partnership constructs into reusable building blocks
• Drive cross-org alignment across Identity, Payments, Cart, Checkout, Fulfillment, etc.
• Define SLAs, integration playbooks, and technical standards

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years building large-scale backend or full-stack systems in a Staff-level capacity
• Proven track record designing platforms or integration frameworks
• Deep experience with distributed systems and APIs for user-facing flows
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers across levels (L4–L6 equivalent)

• Experience architecting partner integrations at a consumer or platform company
• Comfort working in environments where strategy and execution are tightly coupled
• Prior experience with external stakeholders like partner engineers or business development
