💼 About This Role

You'll design and deploy learned behavior models for autonomous trucks, working across perception, prediction, planning, and safety teams. Your core impact is building reinforcement learning and imitation learning systems that enable safe, efficient driving in real-world freight environments. This role offers ownership of end-to-end model development within a leading autonomous vehicle company backed by Daimler.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and deploy learned behavior models using reinforcement learning and imitation learning
• Own end-to-end model development from data ingestion to deployment
• Write production-quality ML code for scalable training and inference
• Analyze model performance and iterate to improve robustness

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's in CS, Robotics, or related field with 6+ years industry experience, or Master's with 3+ years, or PhD with 1+ years
• Experience applying reinforcement learning or imitation learning to robotics or autonomous systems
• Strong programming in Python and PyTorch with production ML code
• Understanding of ML architectures used in autonomy (e.g., transformers, RNNs, policy networks)

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience in autonomous driving or simulation-based training
• Familiarity with reinforcement learning frameworks like Ray
• Background in vehicle dynamics or motion planning
