Description

You will program CNC parts using NX or MasterCam, optimize machining programs, collaborate with engineers and machinists to improve manufacturability, and occasionally operate machines to support production. This role is critical to SpaceX's mission of enabling human life on Mars.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 5+ years CNC programming experience using NX or MasterCam
• Ability to lift 25 lbs unassisted
• Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, maneuver in tight spaces
• Must be available for 10-hour shifts (6:00AM-4:30PM)

Responsibilities

• Program CNC parts using NX or MasterCam CAD/CAM/CAE
• Vericut NC files and maintain revision control
• Cut tools and adjust speed/feed parameters for maximum tool life
• Suggest drawing changes to improve manufacturability
• Mentor machinists with programming knowledge
