💼 About This Role

You'll join the Machine Learning team within the Computational Biology and Machine Learning group at GRAIL, working at the intersection of machine learning, genomics, and clinical science to advance early cancer detection. You'll apply state-of-the-art AI techniques to real-world clinical challenges and directly contribute to scientific discoveries and transformative products.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and lead projects to improve ML classifier performance for cancer detection.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to plan and interpret experiments.
• Develop reproducible, scalable software with sound engineering practices.
• Analyze large-scale sequencing and genomics datasets for biological insights.

📋 Requirements

• Ph.D. with 2+ years experience, or M.S. with 4+ years, or B.S. with 6+ years in bioinformatics or related field.
• 2+ years experience applying machine learning or statistical modeling in research or production.
• Strong expertise in Python or R for data analysis.
• Deep understanding of modern machine learning and statistical methods.

• Experience with deep learning or large language model training or adaptation.
• Experience with sequencing or genomics data and deriving biological insights.
• Track record of scientific contributions such as publications or patents.
