💼 About This Role

You'll develop and train state-of-the-art computer vision and multimodal models (e.g., Gemini) at Waymo to extract rich semantic information for autonomous driving. You'll design a scalable AI agent framework integrating foundation models with perception outputs and internal knowledge bases. This role offers the chance to own the full system lifecycle from research to production deployment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Develop and train state-of-the-art computer vision/multimodal models.
• Design and implement scalable AI agent frameworks.
• Apply fine-tuning and RL techniques for continuous improvement.
• Prototype novel prompting strategies for Vision-Language Models.

📋 Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 4+ years experience training and shipping deep learning models for CV using Python and PyTorch/JAX/TensorFlow.
• 1+ years experience with LLMs or VLMs (fine-tuning, prompting, RAG).
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building large-scale ML data pipelines.

✨ Nice to Have

• PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• Publication record in top AI conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR).
• Experience with Reinforcement Learning (RLHF, RLAIF) or AI agent frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex).
