Description

You will drive the vision for Oscar's unified analytics data foundation, leading the consolidation of fragmented legacy systems into a dimensional model in dbt and building an enterprise-wide semantic layer. You will partner cross-functionally to capture business logic, define design standards, and ensure trustworthy analytics through consistent definitions and singular sourcing.

Requirements

• 6+ years in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or related field
• 4+ years working with SQL to transform and model data at scale
• 4+ years building dimensional models using dbt
• 4+ years designing and implementing semantic layers using Tableau, Looker, or Power BI
• 1+ years people management experience

Responsibilities

• Partner cross-functionally to capture business logic and translate into unified dimensional model
• Define design standards and structure for Oscar's unified dimensional model in dbt
• Lead design and implementation of enterprise-wide semantic layer
• Serve as subject matter expert on dimensional modeling and semantic layer design
• Lead cross-functional projects to consolidate, scale, and improve analytics data transformation solutions
• Ensure analytics platform aligns with industry standards and data governance principles
• Design and improve data transformations and semantic layer for performance and cost-effectiveness
• Expand data quality checks and enhance monitoring and alerting pipelines
