Description

You will produce and submit medical claims using coded data, communicate with insurance companies and patients to resolve claims, and handle billing questions and collections. This is a fully remote role supporting a growing mobile surgical physician wound care group in the US.

Requirements

• Good verbal and written communication
• 1-2 years of medical billing experience
• Medical billing diploma or work experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Willing to work graveyard shift (US hours)

Responsibilities

• Produce and submit claims to insurance companies using coded data
• Work with insurers, providers, and patients to process and pay claims
• Review and appeal unpaid and denied claims
• Verify patients’ insurance coverage
• Handle collections on unpaid accounts
