💼 About This Role

You'll remotely activate and maintain a fleet of edge-compute sensor nodes deployed on maritime vessels. You will own the health and uptime of distributed systems operating in remote environments with intermittent connectivity. This role offers a chance to solve unique challenges involving hardware, RF, video AI, and satellite networks.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Remotely configure edge nodes and activate Starlink connections.
• Calibrate cameras and SDRs after physical installation.
• Diagnose and resolve Linux system and container crashes.
• Serve as bridge between field techs, backend engineers, and AI team.

📋 Requirements

• 3–8+ years in systems administration or distributed systems operations.
• Deep hands-on Linux systems administration including bash scripting and systemd.
• Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, NAT/CGNAT, routing, VPNs.
• Experience deploying containerized workloads using Docker and K3s.

✨ Nice to Have

• Familiarity with video streaming pipelines (RTSP, WebRTC, GStreamer).
• Experience with Software Defined Radios or GNU Radio.
• Active US Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
