Description

You'll build and maintain core backend services for Lookout's cybersecurity platform, working with a small team on a large-scale system serving millions. You'll own services end-to-end, implement low-latency microservices, and solve complex scaling challenges.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field with 3-5 years experience
• Professional experience with Golang, Python, Scala, Java, or Ruby+Rails
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and algorithms
• Experience with event streaming (especially Kafka)
• Experience with transactional databases (Postgres, MySQL, DynamoDB)

Responsibilities

• Implement large scale, low latency microservices
• End-to-end service ownership including on-call duties
• Improve automated testing (unit, integration, functional)
• Troubleshoot, analyze and root cause platform issues
• Build and maintain services on AWS
