Description
You will manage end-to-end technical production for school events, arts performances, and external rentals, including sound, lighting, and video systems. You'll collaborate with arts departments, support all school divisions, and may teach elective courses in audio engineering or technical theatre.
Requirements
- Expertise in operating commercial audio and lighting mixing boards, digital projectors, and webcasting equipment.
- Experience with technical rehearsals and live event production in a school or theater environment.
- Ability to coordinate multiple concurrent events and deploy staff resources effectively.
- Proficiency in sound editing and post-production for podcast production.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, with a positive and patient demeanor when working with students and faculty.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary lead technician for high-level commercial audio/lighting mixing boards, digital projectors, and webcasting equipment during concerts, theatrical productions, and ceremonies.
- Attend technical rehearsals and supervise technical mounting, fine-tuning cues and providing real-time troubleshooting.
- Manage AV services for school functions and external rentals across two campuses, coordinating IT staff for overlapping events.
- Support technical setup, audio integration, and recording for single/multiple camera setups; lead podcast production including sound editing and post-production.
- Manage equipment maintenance, updates, and asset inventory.
