Description

You will join a team developing software for localization, calibration, and mapping of autonomous vehicles. You'll work on state-of-the-art algorithms, conduct code reviews, and perform simulation and live testing to deliver robust localization systems.

Requirements

  • Masters/PhD graduating within 12 months of internship completion in Robotics, CS, EE, Aerospace, or related field
  • Strong C++ programming skills with modern C++ (C++17 or later) and unit testing framework (gtest)
  • Coursework or hands-on experience in state estimation, Kalman filtering, SLAM, point cloud processing, sensor fusion
  • Comfortable with Linux, git, and collaborative development workflows
  • Ability to communicate technical ideas effectively

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance state-of-the-art algorithms for localization and mapping from LIDAR/RADAR/UWB/IMU/Encoders
  • Improve integrity monitoring capabilities for robust, safe localization
  • Conduct code reviews and demonstrate attention to detail
  • Perform simulation (unit, subsystem, end-to-end tests) and live testing of autonomy stack
  • Perform detailed analysis of algorithm and system performance by replaying logs
