💼 About This Role

You'll support the design, analysis, testing, and qualification of structures for VLEO satellites operating at just 200 km altitude. Your core impact is ensuring reliability and survivability of spacecraft in harsh orbital environments. You'll collaborate across mechanical, thermal, propulsion, and AIT teams to develop flight hardware from early modelling through environmental validation.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Perform structural analysis of flight hardware including static, modal, vibration, and shock loads.
• Develop and validate finite element models for spacecraft structures.
• Plan and execute vibration and shock qualification test campaigns.
• Instrument hardware with accelerometers and strain gauges and correlate test results.
• Review engineering drawings and drive structural design decisions with designers.

📋 Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering.
• 3+ years of structural analysis experience on flight hardware (spacecraft, launch vehicles, etc.).
• Experience with FEM and solvers like NASTRAN, ANSYS, or Abaqus.
• Experience with composite materials analysis and testing.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Altair OptiStruct.
• Familiarity with GEVS, ECSS, and NASA requirements.
• Experience with design for manufacturing (DFM).
