Description

You will develop and maintain the OS and platform software for Starlink's Linux-based spacecraft and ground components, including boot loaders, business logic, and device drivers. You'll work on next-generation silicon, secure boot, networking, and software update processes, owning the full lifecycle from development to testing and support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in computer science, engineering, math, or science (or 2+ yrs professional experience)
• Development experience in C, C++, Python and/or Rust
• Knowledge of Linux kernel and networking stack preferred
• Experience with ARM embedded systems preferred
• Strong debugging, performance optimization, and unit testing skills

Responsibilities

• Maintain in-house branches of OSS software (Linux, Buildroot, u-boot)
• Support secure boot and runtime security for Linux satellite components
• Maintain spacecraft Ethernet network and connectivity
• Develop and test spacecraft software update process
• Develop device drivers for third-party and in-house components
