Description

You will ensure DME patient records and equipment usage data meet Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance standards. You'll monitor therapy data, conduct empathetic patient outreach to improve adherence, and collaborate with billing and intake departments to resolve compliance issues, directly impacting patients' sleep health.

Requirements

• 2-3 years in DME environment or healthcare compliance
• Proficiency in DME software (e.g., Brightree, NikoHealth) and remote monitoring tools (e.g., AirView)
• Exceptional interpersonal skills for concierge-style patient support
• Certified Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or similar certification
• Practical knowledge of PAP therapy and mask troubleshooting; Respiratory Therapist or Sleep Tech background preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient equipment usage data (e.g., CPAP/BiPAP downloads) to verify compliance milestones
• Initiate empathetic outreach to patients struggling with adherence, troubleshoot issues, and encourage consistent therapy
• Collaborate with billing and intake departments to resolve held claims due to missing documentation
• Contact patients and physician offices for clinical updates or to discuss non-compliance
• Maintain detailed compliance logs and prepare monthly reports on audit findings and adherence rates
