Description

As a Sr. PCB Designer at SpaceX for the Starshield program, you will create layouts for in-house board designs, collaborating closely with hardware engineers to develop optimal solutions for applications ranging from radio phased arrays to solar power converters.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in electrical engineering or 7+ years of PCB layout experience
• 5+ years of professional PCB layout experience
• Experience with Mentor Xpedition or Altium Designer (Mentor Xpedition preferred)
• Experience with mixed analog/digital, high-speed, FPGA, DRAM, CPU, power supplies
• Active Top Secret/TS SCI/DOE Level Q clearance or ability to obtain

Responsibilities

• Determine layer stackup, perform component package selection, placement, and routing feasibility studies
• Route digital, analog, RF, and power conversion PCBs
• Create and maintain libraries, release fabrication documentation
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to improve design rules and DFM guidelines
• Utilize PCB design tools, evaluate new tools, and train team members
