Description

You will work with a multi-disciplined planning and engineering firm on transportation projects, collaborating with senior staff, managing budgets and schedules, mentoring junior team members, and interacting with clients and agencies to deliver road design plans compliant with DOT standards.

Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of diverse and progressive civil transportation design experience
• Licensed PE in the state of TN or able to obtain licensure through comity within one year
• B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering
• Experience working with public agencies, private entities and/or municipalities
• Progressive experience with developing plans specifications, and submissions per DOT standards and requirements
• Excellent communication and client relation skills
• Strong organizational skills with a track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules
• Advanced use of MicroStation and Geopak. OpenRoads Designer experience a plus
• Assure compliance with project CADD standards
• Ability to work independently and develop task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner

Responsibilities

• Work closely with senior staff to deliver transportation projects
• Ability to work independently within a design team to execute project work plans
• Be accountable for budgets and schedules provided by the Project Manager
• Mentor junior staff
• Interact with clients, agencies, and other project stakeholders
