💼 About This Role

You'll help evolve the shared cloud platform powering all product and ML workloads at Upstart, an AI lending marketplace. You'll improve reliability, developer experience, and cost efficiency across a platform used by nearly every engineering team. This role offers a digital-first culture with intentional in-person connection.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and operate a fleet of Kubernetes (EKS) clusters across environments
• Evolve AWS infrastructure and network architecture for scalable workloads
• Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code and GitOps workflows
• Improve platform reliability by defining SLOs and analyzing incidents

📋 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in a related field
• Experience operating Kubernetes in production environments
• Proficiency with AWS infrastructure (VPC, networking, IAM)
• Expertise in Terraform or AWS CDK for infrastructure-as-code

✨ Nice to Have

• Knowledge of service mesh technologies like Istio or Envoy
• Experience with multi-cluster Kubernetes architectures
• Experience with cloud networking at scale or edge platforms
