💼 About This Role

You'll lead service decomposition for a complex modernisation challenge, working with NodeJS, VueJS, and MongoDB. You'll drive incremental modernisation roadmaps and collaborate with client-side architects. This contract role offers flexibility with remote work across New Zealand.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Develop target service-based architectures and modernisation roadmaps
• Lead technical workshops to drive architectural decisions
• Conduct codebase deep dives to identify patterns and dependencies
• Provide technical rigour to ensure stakeholder-ready deliverables

📋 Requirements

• Deep expertise in the JavaScript and TypeScript ecosystem
• Experience modernising monolithic applications
• Solid handle on cloud native deployment patterns with Kubernetes and containerisation
• Ability to work collaboratively with client-side Lead Systems Engineers

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with AI-assisted tooling for codebase analysis
• Background in service decomposition projects
• Familiarity with NodeJS, VueJS, and MongoDB
