Description

You will define the architectural vision for Natera's lab informatics platforms, modernizing and integrating sample lifecycle workflows from order management to clinical reporting. You'll design a unified orchestration layer across oncology, women's health, and organ health, ensuring seamless integration with commercial systems like EMR and RCM to reduce manual touchpoints and improve turnaround times.

Requirements

• 10+ years enterprise software architecture experience with focus on Laboratory Informatics, LIMS, or Healthcare IT
• Proven success designing systems for high-volume sample lifecycles (accessioning, tracking, etc.)
• Experience with automation and integration of lab robotics (Hamilton, Tecan, etc.)
• Deep understanding of clinical regulatory environment (CLIA, CAP, FDA)
• Experience architecting scalable integration frameworks across diverse business units

Responsibilities

• Design architectural framework for next-gen sample accessioning and triage with automation and intelligent routing
• Define strategy for end-to-end workflow tracking ensuring real-time visibility from kit activation to clinical reporting
• Lead modernization of workflow orchestration toward dynamic, metadata-driven engine supporting complex branching across lab sites
• Architect digital bridge between LIMS and commercial platforms for bi-directional data flow with EMR/EHR and Provider Portals
• Lead technical evaluations of third-party LIMS, middleware, and RCM integration engines vs. homegrown ecosystem
