💼 About This Role

You'll own the transformation layer for UMA and Across protocols, building a governed data platform that powers agentic systems. Your core impact is making data deterministic, well-documented, and AI-ready. This role is the foundation that enables agentic data systems at a remote-first crypto protocol company.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own the modeling strategy and transformation layer end-to-end
• Refactor legacy data models into clean, maintainable pipelines
• Design and implement automated data quality testing and lineage
• Optimize BigQuery costs through refactoring and materialization changes

📋 Requirements

• Advanced SQL expertise with performant, warehouse-aware queries
• Experience owning a transformation layer in production including refactoring
• Hands-on with data quality frameworks: testing, alerting, lineage
• Experience with event data and product analytics tooling (Amplitude, Segment)

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with dbt
• Familiarity with BigQuery optimization techniques
• Prior exposure to analytics work
