Description

You will lead the recreational program, creating and coordinating activities like hobbies, physical events, and holiday celebrations as part of a holistic approach to client wellness. Your work supports clients in developing skills for independent living and a life worth living.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree as an occupational, music, dance, art, or recreation therapist
• Eligible for registration as an occupational, music, dance, art, or recreation therapist
• Valid California driver's license
• 2 years' experience in a social or recreational program within 5 years, including 1 year full-time in a client activities program in healthcare

Responsibilities

• Create and lead recreational programs including activities, hobby building, physical events, and holiday celebrations
• Integrate recreation with other wellness facets like behavioral skill building and dietary teaching
• Support clients in developing skills for independent community living
• Oversee a client activities program in a healthcare setting
