Description

You will perform field investigations and geotechnical testing, analyze data to assess soil and rock mechanics, and prepare technical reports. This role combines hands-on outdoor work with lab analysis to ensure projects start on solid ground.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
• Five years of progressive geotechnical or environmental fieldwork experience
• Engineering Intern (E.I.) or Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred
• NAQTC Soil Sampling and Density and Nuclear Gauge Operation Certification preferred
• Advanced knowledge of soil classification, sampling techniques, and lab testing procedures

Responsibilities

• Perform field investigations and geotechnical testing (soil sampling, borehole drilling, lab analysis)
• Analyze geotechnical data to assess soil/rock mechanics, groundwater, and geohazards
• Operate and maintain geotechnical testing equipment, including nuclear density gauges
• Prepare clear, detailed, and technically sound geotechnical reports
• Mentor and coach staff to achieve optimal job performance
