Description

You will support critical database platforms across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments, partnering closely with application teams and database engineers to ensure availability, performance, and reliability of database services in a global support model.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field
• 10+ years of experience in database administration and infrastructure engineering
• Strong experience with multiple database technologies such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and/or Sybase
• Strong knowledge of cloud-based database services including AWS Aurora, RDS DB, EC2, EBS, and/or S3
• Hands-on expertise with scripting using PowerShell, Korn Shell, Python, or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for enterprise database platforms in on-premises, private cloud, and public cloud environments
• Monitor database health, capacity, performance, and availability, respond to alerts, diagnose issues, and perform timely remediation
• Perform routine maintenance activities such as patching, upgrades, and housekeeping
• Troubleshoot database-related incidents and collaborate on root cause analysis
• Contribute to the design, implementation, and testing of automation and self-service capabilities for database platforms
