💼 About This Role

You'll lead all legal aspects of venture investments for Toyota's $1.6B growth-stage VC arm, structuring transactions to align financial returns with strategic objectives. You'll build and scale the legal infrastructure for a growing CVC platform, managing negotiations, compliance, and governance. This role offers the chance to connect breakthrough innovators with Toyota's global platform.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead legal due diligence and negotiate term sheets, equity documents, and shareholder agreements
• Advise portfolio companies on governance, follow-on financings, and exit processes
• Oversee corporate policies, board matters, and internal approvals
• Manage compliance with securities laws, FCPA, export controls, and data privacy

📋 Requirements

• 7-10+ years of relevant legal experience including at a top-tier law firm and corporate venture capital
• Significant experience negotiating complex commercial agreements
• Experience leading cross-border transactions and global regulatory considerations
• Ability to work across multiple legal disciplines (corporate, commercial, governance, regulatory)
