Description

You will lead end-to-end engineering of complex outside plant programs, including fiber and copper aerial and underground builds. Your work ensures designs meet NESC and client standards while mentoring junior engineers and driving quality improvements.

Requirements

• Advanced OSP engineering experience with fiber and copper networks
• Proficiency in pole line, direct-buried, and conduit system design
• Knowledge of NESC standards and joint-use engineering
• Experience with permitting and ROW coordination
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and drive QA/QC processes

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering for multi-site OSP builds (fiber/copper, aerial/UG, pole, direct-buried, conduit)
• Produce engineering plans, splicing diagrams, loss budgets, BOMs, and construction work prints
• Perform field surveys and ensure compliance with NESC and client standards
• Oversee permitting, ROW/easements, and joint-use engineering with utilities
• Build job budgets, track costs, and recommend schedule mitigations
