💼 About This Role

You'll lead the development, integration, and validation of control systems for electric vehicle platforms at Xos. You'll design embedded software for propulsion, energy management, and safety, collaborating with cross-functional teams. This is an on-site role in Los Angeles, CA.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead design and integration of vehicle control software across EV platforms.
• Define system and software architecture for propulsion, regen braking, and thermal control.
• Oversee validation and verification of control software for safety compliance.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications and software requirements.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in EE, Controls, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years embedded software development, 3+ in vehicle control for EVs.
• Proficiency in C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow, and SIL/HIL environments.
• Experience with EV systems (propulsion, motor/inverter control, BMS) and ISO 26262.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with model-based design and code generation (Embedded Coder).
• Knowledge of CAN, LIN, and Ethernet protocols.
• Familiarity with JIRA, Jama, Polarion, and version control systems.
