💼 About This Role

You'll own the intersection of product requirements, hardware specifications, and go-to-market strategy for grid-scale battery energy storage systems. You'll translate engineering tradeoffs into clear product requirements and shape what customers experience. This role offers direct influence over Peak Energy's product strategy at a pivotal growth stage.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own and maintain detailed PRDs for hardware specifications and configurations.
• Define requirements across energy and power dimensions including efficiency and thermal limits.
• Track certification and compliance roadmap (UL 9540, IEC 62933, etc.).
• Define inverter compatibility matrix and support EMS offering strategy.

📋 Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in product management or related role.
• Demonstrated experience in energy storage or grid-scale renewables.
• Strong written communication skills for PRDs and strategy memos.
• Comfort with ambiguity and analytical thinking to drive decisions.

✨ Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with BESS procurement or system integration.
• Familiarity with grid interconnection requirements or energy markets (ERCOT, CAISO, PJM).
• Exposure to standards bodies or certification processes for energy storage equipment.
