Description

You will develop and implement system safety programs for small unmanned aircraft systems, conduct hazard analyses, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure safety across the product lifecycle. Your work supports the delivery of cutting-edge defense technology.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years as a System Safety Engineer or equivalent
• B.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems Engineering, or related
• Experience with safety-critical systems in defense or aerospace
• Extensive knowledge of MIL-STD-882E
• Eligibility to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement System Safety program plans aligned with MIL-STD-882E
• Conduct safety analyses including FHA, Fault Tree, SCFTA, and SSA
• Develop safety requirements and collaborate with design teams
• Identify and manage hazards, drive risk mitigation strategies
• Lead mishap investigations and Root Cause Corrective Action activities
