💼 About This Role

You'll join the Edge Infrastructure team building UDS Image Factory, developer tooling for mission-ready system images in air-gapped environments. Your work will ensure software delivery is secure, repeatable, and fully self-contained from build to deployment. This role offers the chance to deeply engage with operating systems and infrastructure while making a direct impact on national security missions.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build custom tooling for composing OS, Kubernetes, and apps into deployable artifacts
• Develop and maintain image build pipelines for containers and VMs
• Debug complex issues across application, container, and OS layers
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to iterate on features

📋 Requirements

• 2–5 years of software engineering experience
• Proficiency in a modern programming language (Golang preferred)
• Experience with Linux systems, containers, or OS-level work
• Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with software supply chain security (SBOMs, signing, provenance)
• Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., STIG, NIST, CIS benchmarks)
• Contributions to open source or developer tooling projects
