💼 About This Role

You'll own the full lifecycle of a high-volume footwear category, from building seasonal assortments to managing vendor relationships and leading a small buying team. You'll combine market instincts with analytical rigor and a growing AI toolkit to make fast, well-informed decisions that directly impact revenue. This role reports to the Senior Director of Merchandising.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build seasonal footwear assortments based on market trends and sales history
• Negotiate vendor discounts, terms, and promotional windows
• Create purchase orders and manage SKU/PO allocation
• Review inventory performance and set sell-through targets

📋 Requirements

• 3–5 years of buying experience in e-commerce or retail
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis
• Effective negotiator with strong analytical skills
• Comfortable with AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot

• Experience in outdoor or footwear industry
• Team management experience with associate or assistant buyers
• Familiarity with retail math and inventory planning concepts
