💼 About This Role

You'll join OLIX to scale next-generation optical interconnects for AI infrastructure. You'll architect manufacturable hardware designs bridging photonics and ASICs. This role drives the transition from lab prototype to high-volume production in a fast-moving startup. You'll own optical packaging and alignment processes that are critical to DX-1 accelerator performance.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and optimize high-density fiber-optic and waveguide interconnects
• Define alignment strategies and tolerances for high-volume assembly
• Drive co-packaged optics integration at package and system level
• Develop processes for optical assembly, alignment, and test
• Analyze tolerance sensitivities and yield drivers for production readiness

📋 Requirements

• PhD or Master's in Optics, Photonics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• 6-10+ years of experience in optical hardware, packaging, or manufacturing
• Experience with fiber optics, waveguides, and coupling techniques
• Hands-on experience with lab validation, prototyping, and build processes

✨ Nice to Have

• Familiarity with CPO or high-density optical packaging
• Experience with processing and characterizing optical fibers and polymer waveguides
