Description

As a Senior Software Engineer on Roku's Ad Engineering Team, you will design and build a highly scalable, real-time advertising platform that powers Roku's growing ad business. You'll work with a skilled team to develop large-scale applications, own features end-to-end, and advocate for best practices, all while protecting user privacy.

Requirements

• 10+ years building large-scale, low-latency distributed systems
• Command of Java or C++
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, OOP, multi-threading, and real-time programming
• Experience with distributed caching, SQL/NoSQL is a plus
• Experience with Big Data and cloud services (AWS/GCP) is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain large-scale, high-performance real-time applications
• Own building features, driving with product and engineering teams
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
• Evangelize best practices across developers, QA, and infrastructure/ops
• Deliver top-quality software in a timely fashion
