Description

You will design and build data products that support genomics research and translational science, creating scalable data pipelines and models while collaborating with R&D scientists to accelerate discovery.

Requirements

• 8+ years data engineering experience
• Strong background in bioinformatics, genomics, or computational biology
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and distributed processing frameworks (Spark)
• Experience with modern orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt, Dagster)
• Data modeling expertise and CI/CD for data pipelines

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data products for R&D, analytics, and lab workflows
• Build and maintain data pipelines for large complex datasets
• Design data models and schemas aligned with research patterns
• Enforce de-identification and privacy-preserving architectures meeting HIPAA
• Drive rapid prototyping and transition to production-grade systems
