💼 About This Role

You'll deploy and maintain an event-driven microservices system for a government client, ensuring high availability and observability. This role is perfect for an experienced engineer wanting to gain more experience with best-of-breed DevOps tools.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Collaborate with feature teams to promote component releases into production
• Maintain system to agreed SLA/SLO using monitoring tools
• Instrument new system metrics and alerts to pre-empt issues
• Respond to alerts and incidents, taking preventive/remedial action
• Apply automation to reduce manual operations

📋 Requirements

• Experience in infrastructure automation tools (CloudFormation, Terraform or Ansible)
• Experience with Docker containers and orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift or Docker Swarm)
• Experience using and maintaining CI/CD tools (Jenkins or GitHub Actions)
• Linux command line, administration and shell scripting
• Working knowledge of AWS

• Experience in a managed service environment
• Experience with event-driven integration using MQ messaging (RabbitMQ or AMQP)
• Experience writing well-tested code in Java, Go, or Python
