πΌ About This Role
You'll lead the solar array architecture and system design for high-power satellite platforms at a Series C space startup. You'll define how K2 develops, manufactures, and deploys solar arrays at production scale. This role spans multiple technical domains and offers the chance to innovate in a fast-paced environment.
π― What You'll Do
- Deliver solar array electrical and mechanical architecture and lifecycle performance margins
- Develop electrical system performance degradation characterization and modeling
- Define and execute assembly-level acceptance and qualification testing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define solar system requirements and test plans
π Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in physics, materials science, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or electrical engineering
- 8+ years of experience in design, manufacture, and test of solar arrays for space applications
β¨ Nice to Have
- Experience architecting solar array systems for space applications
- Background working on multiple solar array systems with varying technologies
- Experience with AIAA S111/S112, SMC-S-016, NASA-STD-5017, and NASA-STD-4005
