💼 About This Role

You'll evolve the Skydio Simulator, a high-fidelity digital replica used by customers and autonomy engineers. You'll work on physics, sensor simulation, and autonomy stack integration to push realism and performance. This is a systems-heavy role where you'll debug complex interactions between software and physical behavior.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and evolve core simulator architecture across vehicle types and environments.
• Improve physics models for vehicle motion and environmental interactions.
• Build high-fidelity simulations of cameras, IMUs, and onboard components.
• Run and validate autonomy stack consistency between simulated and real-world behavior.

📋 Requirements

• Strong software engineering experience with C++ and Python.
• Experience building complex systems where performance or determinism matters.
• Comfort reasoning about time-synchronized systems or real-time execution.
• Ability to work in a large, evolving codebase with multiple stakeholders.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with robotics, simulation, game engines, or real-time systems.
• Experience with physics engines, sensor modeling, or hardware abstraction layers.
• Experience with multithreaded or low-latency system design.
