Description

You will build and lead the new Machine Learning Acceleration team at Motional, driving strategy and execution to drastically reduce ML model training cycles. You'll recruit and mentor a high-performing team, define technical vision, and collaborate cross-functionally to integrate acceleration solutions for autonomous vehicle services.

Requirements

• 8+ years software engineering, 5+ years in ML systems and performance optimization
• 3+ years technical lead or management role with track record of building teams
• Extensive experience with large-scale ML training and deployment in production
• Deep expertise in PyTorch or JAX; strong Python skills; C++ a plus
• Knowledge of distributed systems and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and manage a team of ML and infra engineers focused on acceleration
• Define technical vision and strategy for ML acceleration across the organization
• Design, develop, and implement scalable ML acceleration solutions
• Collaborate with ML research, platform, and product teams to integrate acceleration solutions
• Regularly measure and report impact of acceleration efforts
