Description

You will design, build, and operate platform infrastructure powering real-time search and personalized recommendations for Roku, shaping the next-generation architecture while collaborating with machine learning and infrastructure teams to scale the Machine Learning Platform.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or Go and cloud-native architectures (AWS, Kubernetes, service meshes)
• Deep knowledge of DevOps, SRE, infrastructure-as-code, and real-time data processing
• Experience collaborating with engineers and product stakeholders to shape features
• Platform mindset focused on reuse, observability, and scale

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate platform infrastructure for real-time search and personalized recommendations
• Work closely with ML engineers, data scientists, and infrastructure teams to scale the Machine Learning Platform
• Shape roadmap for next-gen architecture focusing on cost efficiency, observability, and resilience
• Drive tooling and standardization across platform teams
• Design and implement multi-tenant systems and APIs to accelerate development and reduce coupling
