You will lead a team building a conversational AI product for Brex customers, overseeing people leadership and product outcomes. Success is measured by real customer impact, such as better expense documentation and stronger policy compliance.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading engineering teams building user-facing products in complex domains
• Strong product judgment with track record of making tradeoffs under constraints
• Experience building systems that remain reliable despite messy inputs or non-deterministic behavior
• Ability to translate high-level product goals into clear technical direction
• Bonus: TypeScript experience, consumer-facing AI in regulated domains, conversational UX

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of engineers building conversational AI for Brex Assistant
• Operate at all levels, guiding team through technical challenges and contributing to design
• Own delivery and outcomes for Assistant roadmap, making sequencing decisions for agent capabilities
• Set high bar for reliability, correctness, and UX in agentic financial systems
• Partner with Product, Design, and adjacent engineering teams to integrate workflows
