💼 About This Role

You'll join Jane Street's SOC team in Hong Kong to protect employees, data, and infrastructure. You'll combine incident response, detection engineering, and security tool development, building systems like their custom SOAR and alerting stack. This role stands out for its engineering focus and full ownership of the detection and response lifecycle.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain detection tools and alerting systems
• Perform incident response and remediation for threats
• Conduct threat hunting and prioritize monitoring
• Tune detection rules to reduce false positives

📋 Requirements

• Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
• Strong programming skills and aptitude for learning
• Familiarity with version control and code management
• Ability to communicate security tradeoffs effectively

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with SOAR platforms
• Knowledge of threat modeling frameworks
• Background in security awareness training
