Description

You will conduct static load tests and perform structural analysis of space vehicles, defining failure cases and preparing margins of safety. Work with multidisciplinary teams to translate load states into qualification testing and support dynamic analysis with LTM definitions for coupled loads analysis.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• U.S. Person (ITAR compliant)
• 2+ years hands-on mechanical/structural analysis of spacecraft
• Expertise in FEMAP and NASTRAN
• Experience with composite space structures

Responsibilities

• Conduct static load tests (SLT) on space structures
• Perform structural analysis and define failure cases, compute margins of safety
• Translate load states into static qualification testing
• Review and disposition non-conformance issues
• Support dynamic analysis teams with LTM definition for CLA
