Description

You will lead improvements to pricing algorithms and applied ML systems at Canada's largest online used car retailer. This high-ownership role involves end-to-end ownership of ML systems that drive real business outcomes, with opportunities to expand into lending, logistics, fraud detection, and recommendations.

Requirements

• 8+ years experience as Data Scientist with measurable business impact via ML
• Proven ability to navigate high-ambiguity environments and own the roadmap
• Deep Python proficiency with end-to-end ownership from exploration to production
• Strong experience deploying traditional ML algorithms in live environments
• Excellent communication bridging complex findings to business ROI

Responsibilities

• Own and improve pricing algorithms balancing margin, conversion, and customer experience
• Deep-dive into market and vehicle data to identify key pricing relationships
• Build, validate, and deploy ML models into production and iterate based on performance
• Lead feature engineering, model evaluation, and experimentation design
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Ops to prioritize high-impact opportunities
