💼 About This Role

You'll partner with the Executive Director and Managing Director to launch new initiatives at CAIS, from initial investigation through execution. You'll turn ambitious AI-safety concepts into concrete results, coordinating researchers and vendors while keeping leadership informed. This role sits at CAIS's project pipeline frontier, driving speed, rigor, and mission alignment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Evaluate new project ideas through interviews, literature reviews, and competitive scans.
• Build detailed project plans including objectives, deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
• Own day-to-day execution, keeping projects on scope, time, and budget.
• Coordinate researchers, vendors, and external partners for inputs and approvals.
• Track budgets, resource utilization, and produce status reports for leadership.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in public policy, computer science, or related field.
• 1–2 years in startups, operations, project management, or consulting.
• Ability to scope new subject areas quickly and independently.
• Strong analytical skills for evaluating project feasibility and risk.
