Description

As a Solutions Architect on Planet's Professional Services team, you will apply your remote sensing and geospatial expertise to design and architect solutions that help customers succeed with Planet's satellite imagery and platform. You'll act as a technical lead, deliver workshops and demos, and collaborate across teams to drive customer outcomes.

Requirements

• Background in remote sensing, geoscience, or geoinformatics
• 4+ years relevant work experience in technical geospatial role
• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Computer Science, Remote Sensing, Geography, or related field
• Extensive Python programming for geospatial applications
• Experience with QGIS, ArcGIS, GDAL, ENVI or similar geospatial software

Responsibilities

• Architect and pilot solutions transforming customer requirements into robust architectures
• Deliver workshops, tailored demos, and workflows for solution prototyping
• Act as technical lead in Agile solution development teams
• Liaise with cross-functional stakeholders for optimal solutions
• Support pre-sales, customer expansions, and technical proposal writing
