You'll lead a team of full stack engineers on the Core Product Engagement team, shaping key features that help millions connect daily. You'll collaborate with product, design, and data partners to drive vision and roadmap, with serious ownership of core experiences. This role offers a unique chance to influence Discord's core product and work across the full stack while mentoring engineers.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data Science, UX Research, and Marketing to drive vision and roadmap
• Make first-principle decisions around resourcing and communicate rationale clearly
• Partner with org leader on strategic planning and improving Engineering organization
• Drive product decisions with goals and high quality bar

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience across mobile, web, and backend
• 2+ years as an Engineering Manager leading teams of 5+ engineers building user-facing products
• Product sense and understanding of customers with clear metrics goals
• Goal-oriented with a drive to help team members succeed

• Experience on a social or messaging consumer product
• Experience with React Native
