Description

As an early-career fire protection engineer, you will perform life safety code consulting, sprinkler and fire alarm design, and performance-based fire engineering under the guidance of experienced professionals. You will develop plans, conduct field inspections, and apply engineering calculations to ensure projects meet safety standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection, Mechanical, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or related field
• 0-3 years of experience
• Problem-solving and reasoning skills
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Passion for advancing the science of safety

Responsibilities

• Perform fire protection engineering services such as life safety code consulting, sprinkler and fire alarm design, and performance-based analysis
• Develop plans, specifications, and inspection reports ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Assist in resolving design problems through field investigations and detailed design work
• Identify applicable codes and standards, and conduct building code analyses, egress analyses, and system reviews
• Submit progress reports to project managers and project leaders
