💼 About This Role

You'll serve as a key subject matter expert on accounting policy and financial reporting for the Wikimedia Foundation and Wikimedia Endowment. You'll lead audits, Form 990 preparation, and internal controls while partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality financial reporting.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Simplify complex financial accounting concepts for stakeholders.
• Maintain and improve accounting policies and governance procedures.
• Lead annual financial audits and coordinate auditor inquiries.
• Support preparation of Form 990 and ensure data accuracy.

📋 Requirements

• Active CPA license (or equivalent with strong US GAAP).
• Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance plus 8+ years relevant experience.
• Experience supporting audited financial statements or Form 990 preferred.
• Experience with SOX internal controls design and testing.
