Description

You will develop and maintain Python-based test automation tools for hardware certification, work on test frameworks, and create software for automated testing of Ubuntu on desktops, servers, and IoT devices. Your work will directly impact the quality of Linux across millions of devices.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Python programming language
• Quality-oriented, pragmatic approach to software design
• Interest in test automation methodologies
• Experience working with Ubuntu or other Linux distributions
• Ability to be productive in a globally distributed team

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop new features to Python-based test automation tools like Checkbox
• Invent new ways to enable remote, automated testing
• Build software counterpart to in-house testing hardware for device enablement (graphics, hotplug, bluetooth)
• Write functional and performance tests to support hardware enablement and prevent regressions
• Participate in international meetings 2-3 times per year
